Raised in Ojai and Giving Back

Picture that woman as me running up hill to get you where you want to be. I'll work with you and support you as much as possible to support you in achieving your goals. As an occupational therapist, I am educated with a medical background and knowledgeable in the resources, equipment and modifications to create your optimal way of living. I also have my bachelors in psychology. Hereditarily, I am a creative person and have a strong work ethic.

My background in occupational therapy begins with my undergraduate degree in Psychology from CSU Channel Islands and my Master of Science in Occupational therapy from Dominican University of California. I am still learning with continued education courses and from the older adults I enjoy working with from the several skilled nursing facilities in the Bay Area to people's homes in Home Health here in Ventura County. As I like to say, "Gerries are my Jam" because there is a lot to learn from those who came before and are willing to share. For my final project and thesis to my Master's degree, my project focused on the contributing factors to resilience in older adults. I utilize these contributing factors to my practice because I believe it's important for each person to have the knowledge and tools to apply these factors.
